| yaki tato-keak INTRODUCTION |
Yaki Tato/Keak is a small village of one of the galo community, known as "lodu galo". It is located at a distance of 38 km from the main headquarter,Aalo, and 7 km before an Adi Minyong village kaying. The Village is just a walk away from keak. "keak" is the settlement area along the main road. yaki tato is the main dwellings of the `Tato community.
It is about 100 km before a `Pailibo village . Many people get confused with the libo village and our village. To make it more clear, let me tell you that the name "TATO" which many of you see on the map is the libo region, ours is the "Yaki Tato" which you wont find on the state map. However now i have tried to fix my village on the map through google earth map which you will see it later in the picture provided below.
The people here enjoys hot and humid climatic condition with a minimum of 18 degree & maximum 32 degree of temperature during the summer and about 5-13 degree during the winter approximately. During winter the weather is pretty cold, it is very chilly, the region gets engulfed and covered by mist and heavy fog. During the morning hour you wont find the warmth of the sun before 10 'o clock.
The region is a hilly terrain region, where agriculture as the main source of food, subsistence farming like terrace or "jhum" is practiced by the inhabitants. Hunting was very common long time back but today due to "wildlife protection Act " the trend has diminished. Today many dwellers have come out of the village and opted different mode of livelihood.

The region comes after an adi village`kerang and before `kaying. Although this region is situated in an isolated topography,it is well connected through roadways & recently in the month of may 2011 govt has introduce electric supply to this region. The community seems more better out of darkness, The elders of village are lucky enough to have witness their village changed this far.Today televisions and other network like tata sky and dis t.v is now very well used among various houses, now it seems like this small region is more worth living than it was ever before. But the region needs more development and the state govt must sort out ways to meet the goal and uplift the region.
